2014 is going to be home to plenty of blockbuster films this year, but to be honest, there’s only one movie that I really, truly want to see. And that’s The Lego Movie. So far, it looks like pure fun, and the fact that it includes a massive selection of Warner Bros-owned characters making an appearance, is just icing on the Lego cake for me.
So what happens when you combine the iconic soundtrack for Man of Steel with this film? You get the Man of Plastic, that’s what.
The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.
Note to self: Apply Hans Zimmer Man of Steel score to all the movie trailers in existence. The Lego Movie will be digging into your heel this February, and it stars the voices of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Charlie Day, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, and Alison Brie.
