Season 4 of HBO’s runaway success, Game of Thrones, draws ever closer to its release date, and who can say they aren’t waiting with bated breath for its return? Unless you haven’t watched it yet, in which case I’m not sure why you’re reading this. Go watch it. Go!

If you have been keeping up, you might have thought that after last season, what with the Red Wedding and all, that there’s no way it can get any better. As someone who’s read the books, let me just say that you’ve got a lot to look forward to, and I don’t just mean the nudity.

Based on the popular book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” by George R.R. Martin, the hit Emmy-winning fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent fantasy kingdom

So, has your favourite character died yet? Don’t worry, there’s still plenty of time. Starring (for now) Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Kit Harington, Natalie Dormer, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner, Game of Thrones returns April 6.

    “Starring (for now)…”

Maybe this season something finally happens. Or they’ll just kill more of the cast to cover that we’re still going nowhere…
