13-Hour

I’ve always enjoyed military action movies that are actually based on real life. Putting politics aside I’ve always respected the men and women who go out there and do things I most certainly couldn’t. From the harrowing Black Hawk Down to the more personal American Sniper there has always been plenty out there to satiate those who enjoy this genre. When I posted the first trailer for the upcoming Michael Bay film 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi I was really excited, and that has only been amped up more with this new and more intense look! Yes, there is that ‘BVVVVVV’ Bay loves to throw around, but I think he is trying to go out his way to distance himself from Transformers here and be a ‘real’ director (sorry Darryn, I know how much you loved the 4th film).

The film has a very simple premise:

Six members of the Annex Security Team defend the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, from an attack by Islamic militants.

You don’t really need more than that! So without further ado let’s have a watch!

Bouncing RPG? Check. Night vision goggles? Check. Kick ass action with bullets flying everywhere? I’m in! This trailer gives a little more backstory to the characters and their family lives which I think is a good thing, as long as they don’t go too sentimental, which Bay often loves to do. But there is a solid cast of actors in the form of James Badge Dale, John Krasinski, Max Martini, Toby Stephens, Pablo Schreiber, David Denman, Dominic Fumusa, Demetrius Grosse and Freddie Stroma, all of them with man beards which means they must be kick ass hardcore!

Expect the movie to fire a round at you on 15 January, 2016.
