It was expected to be announced at E3 this year but after the lack lustre showing of both Nintendo and Sony I wouldn’t be suprised if they had cut this off the announcement list on purpose as well.
A leaked image is showing that we the Americans can expect to receive a huge price cut on the Xbox 360 Arcade to $199 as of the 7th of September. For a long time now people have been talking about $199 as the magic number and if they can honestly sell the things for that price while the PS3 is still over $400 you have to expect a mass take up.
It is rumoured that the Pro will drop to $299 and the Elite to $399 following this.
Let me say now that you mustn’t expect a local price cut to follow. We have already had our cut this year. The same goes for everyone in the EU and Australia as well.

Even I’m upset Sony’s showing was so bad. Because of it, I don’t get a new Halo announcement, I didn’t get a motion controller and we didn’t get free Live!
