Sony’s PlayStation brand is now 20 years old. To celebrate that, Sony Japan asked users to complete a survey asking them what their favourite PlayStation games are, what games they felt surpassed other media, and which games they’d love to see remade using today’s technology. Their results are mostly rather predictable; Japanese people love Dragon Quest, and – like much of the rest of the world – want a shiny new remake of Final Fantasy VII.

I never had a PS1 or PS2. I was mostly a PC gamer and only got a PS3 a few years ago. So my favourite Playstation games would be limited to that console and I only got the PS3 for some console and playstation exclusives like the Uncharted games. Which are among the best games I have played and one of the main reasons why I would get a PS4.

I honestly can’t believe it’s been 20 years already – all I can say is, I hope Sony does another 20. I will always remember my first PSOne very fondly, and I’m literally tearing up thinking about the day that I marched into CNA and bought Grand Theft Auto 3 for my PS2. Don’t even get me started on the day I fired up the PS3 for Killzone 2, or the day I got my PS4 and anxiously slide my Killzone SF disk into it.
