        nominated by following which leagues/competitions/stats?
If you go by amount of teams entering per title in DGL. the list of E-sports titles will look different
If you look at the amount of independent tournaments per title, the Esports titles would be different
if you look at MGO’s and the amount of top teams they have per title, the list would be different
if you take total prize pool per title, the top E-sports titles would look different.

Naming a few things that dont belong. COD being a small fry compared to some other titles.
I cant name the issue with the “top MGO’s/Commentators” because I will land in sh$t

It’s a fun awards ceremony. There are no prizes, there’s nothing to gain from this. It’s a fun idea. You need to relax, if you don’t like it, you need not participate.

Sorry but I thought this was the E-sports section of the Lazy-gamer website. and being an competitor I am keen to read all your articles. dont take offense when I point out a few flaws in the information that is provided. This is not personal. but when doing an awards. and calling games “the best E-sports titles” and adding a not so accurate list does not lend itself to informative reading

How many international BF tournaments have their been compared to every single eSport mentioned? I know these are local awards, but as an eSport I chose a metric of popularity.

All those above mentioned eSports titles have stood out both international and locally (bar Heroes of the Storm which is rather new). I just don’t see Battlefield as the eSport it should have been.

          • Lang-Slang

            December 8, 2015 at 16:41

You are contradicting yourself. Saying this is local, and then rectifying yourself by talking about international tournaments. Lets forget about ESLone for a second. And stick to local, as you clearly stated in earlier replies.

            LOCALLY
Battlefield had one of the largest prize pools in South Africa and more team entries than COD and Heroes of the storm.

            Internationally
Battlefield has done better than any other international E-sport. SA won the ESL cup of nations last year, and placed 7th if im not mistaken, this year.

this is only battlefield now. but lets continue with other points

            TOP MGOS
bvd and eN are the only two I agree with the rest needs reviewing desperately

            TOP CASTERS
I cannot comment on this too much

            Top Teams:
            2x Cod teams??????????

problem with the argument here is

          1) You its a fun thing, but then say that next year you want it to be larger and with more meaning. Those two contradict.

          2) you says its a local awards, but then bases it on international popularity. To me that’s just justifying that you are out of touch and forgot about BF.

          3) You cant have one person nominating. Nominations are done from a group of people, or normally an open forum. You open the table to nominations and each nomination needs to be seconded. Then you vote on those. This outcome shows why only one person cannot nominate. And favoritism or lack of knowledge shines through.

Jakes! I mentioned COD a few times. Is it because I named Frost? 🙁

I chose him because everyone I spoke to said he was one of the best players. Next year I’m going to have players for each title. This was just a test to see how the community reacts, so far it has been good, except for the Battlefield guys.

No I have no animosity to anyone here etc its just the guys on the BF4 BFSA side of things are really trying damn hard to rebuild the image of BF4 it actually hurts us when we don’t get mentioned in articles like this. We are here and are part of the gaming community. Its comments like this that are hurting us and putting us in a no interest leg of things. I for one have really tired to build the community including Lang Slang and many guys in the community. It would be nice to get support from you guys not negativity.

@congokyle:disqus Just a quick comment. When I voted yesterday, I had to select an option for categories I knew nothing about. So I basically selected randomly for those. Some others might always select the top option which can skew the results if the order is the same. Perhaps next year split the categories, or perhaps add an option for “No comment” or something so people can skip a category they don’t care about. If that option was there I obviously did not see it, so make it more obvious then 😛
