Remember when you were growing up and every time you played on the computer your mom would have a heart attack about how it rots your brain?
No? Must just be me, anyway I found an article this morning which lists 25 things that games do to you that have been scientifically proven.
Some of the things are quite suprising such as it has been proven that computer games can make aggressive kids even more aggressive and at the same time is has been proven that games have absolutely nothing to do with aggression?
However it has also been proven that games can help treat inequality in the world and tolerance of different cultures. Two things that are really needed in this world.
Check the link below for the full list.

Well its all common sense. If you are an intelligent level headed person you can see violence in games for what it is, escapism. For doffies with a temper (That includes a lot of kids ), ANY MEDIA acts as a role model and can legitimise the use of violence as a means of dealing with ones life.

Violence in media is nothing new. If kids don’t get it in video games, they will get it in their favorite show on good ol’ TV. I have been playing games since I can remember, the first game that I played was Paratrooper on one of those monochrome pc’s. Through all theses years, I have never even come remotely close to mixing up reality with a video game. The only negative impact video games have is that it wastes time, thanks COD4 🙂

I don’t suffer from any side effects as I always where my tinfoil underpants and hat.
