505 Games has announced a sequel to 2005’s WWII long-range shooter, Sniper Elite. The original studio Rebellion Developments will be back on board to add a modern slant to its third person tactical shooter.
“It’s very exciting to be working with one of the new breed of major publishers like 505 Games,†said Rebellion’s co-founder Jason Kingsley. “Sniper Elite was an important, genre-defining property and we’re hoping to have even greater success by teaming up with the talented guys at 505.â€
Above is the first screenshot for Sniper Elite V2 and while the game looks pretty, I am not sure if the guy sticking his gun half a meter out the window is a very good sniper. Look out for Sniper Elite V2 set to be released early next year.
