A feature walkthrough of Saints Row IV

We’ve already heard that in the next Saints Row you are going to be the president of America and fight invading aliens… which had me wondering if the guys behind the series had maybe lost the plot and were taking a bit of a gamble with the new direction.

Well then I woke up to this 7 minute feature walkthrough by the executive producer of Saints Row 4 and I can honestly say that right now I’m idiotically in love with this game.

As usual the weapons for Saints Row are completely over the top but they have once again out done themselves and included some incredible new, totally customisable, weapons that I just have to try out.

I have to say I’m still worried about the aliens, one of the best titles of all time was completely destroyed by their decision to add new enemy types. Yes I’m looking at you Crackdown 2.

But what do you think? Is this something you want to play?

I never got into the others but this might bend my rubber arm. How did 3 do? did that tank because of all the focus on on-line?

Man I laughed so hard when I saw the dub-step gun! Hahaha
I think it can work. The most complaints I saw was that the game basically uses the same engine, mechanics and even HUD than 3.
Personally I dont mind actually, as long as it is crammed with a ridiculous amount of awesomeness!

Is it just me or has Saints Row become a cross of GTA, Prototype and The Matrix?

Not a bad thing I’d say, good 3.

      (not prototype 2 though :P)

Looks pretty good even though those last couple of minutes looked (and felt) like Prototype

I’m definitely excited. While Saints Row 1 was a mixed bag, I loved the fact that ever since Saints Row 2 they’ve progressively decided to do their own thing – essentially transcending being a GTA-clone. Saints Row 3 impressed me greatly. I’ve probably said it a thousand times but SR3 was my game of the year for 2011. It’s one of those rare games that I bothered to platinum, and I don’t particularly care about trophies or achievements; I just played so much of it that the plat dropped.

The fact that SR4 is going to be even more crazy, gets a huge smile on my face. It just means that it’ll hopefully be a game to keep me company for weeks.
