A METAL tribute to videogames

Words aren’t really necessary, but I’ll put some here instead. Here’s a look back at decades of games (spotted on IGN Australia) through the magic of metal and hard rock. Made in a week by Jules “FamilyJules7X” Conroy this look back at games by way of electric guitar is magical.

“This medley was begun a week and a day before it was released,” he says on YouTube. “I made this during the same week as my last year of college finals and during hell weeks for numerous other projects rendering me very little possible time to work on it. Still the time restraint gave me One day for arranging, one day for drum programming, one day for doing all of the mixing and mastering and one day to edit this beast of a video.”

Oh, here’s a list of the included songs and their timestamps. Grab your sandwiches, have a cup of coffee and enjoy.

    Talking about music,

Why is the COD MW 2 soundtrack the best that I have ever heard and kicks the 7 shades of shit out of MW3?

THIS FCKING MUSIC MAN makes you not want to stop the game. At all.

Great stuff, but some really odd choices though, like Vega’s theme?

This is still and will always be main man for Metal themes

This Silent Hill track is still totally gangsta

That gives me goose bumps. It brings me back to 1992, walking into an arcade with a pocket full of pound coins and that song is all you can hear screaming out of the front door with 10 different SF2 arcade cabinets all playing at once 🙂

Even I managed to beat DS2. It just lacked SOUL.
