Aladdin and Jasmine revealed for Disney Infinity 2.0

I can show you a world, pricy, collectable and splendid. Tell me princess, now when did you last let your wallet decide?

There was a time when Disney was knocking out animated movies that happened to be consistently magnificent, from The Little Mermaid in 1989 all the way until Treasure Planet in 2002. Between all those films, there was Aladdin, one of their finer animated flicks about a street rat who became a prince thanks to the help of a Genie who was handicapped with the personality of Robin Williams.

That’s a film that the younger generation has sadly missed out on, and while child protective services generally frown on my attempts to force them to watch it using the Clockwork Orange method of clipping their peepers open and tying them to a chair, you can show them a whole new world with even more Disney Infinity figures.

  

As for Power discs, there’ll be three Aladdin-themed accessories to collect. The first is a costume change disc, that swaps his street testicle sack pants for more princely attire, some transport in the form of a certain Magic Carpet and a disc that transports players to the familiar city streets of Agrabah. And to celebrate, here’s one of the snazzier songs from the 1992 film, that hint at the fact that Aladdin may in fact take place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland of 10 003AD where most of humanity has been destroyed:

Disney Infinity 2.0 arrives at the end of September. I recommend you start saving, or getting your kids used to disappointment. Giving them socks as a gift usually works.
