PC Gamers rejoice! With Infinity Ward paving the way for a more console-like experience on PCs, and iD looking to follow suit with Rage, it was starting to look like PC gamers may as well give up, and join the ranks of console gamers.
Probably frightened by the gamer backlash that infinity Ward incurred, Rebellion have no confirmed that their upcoming Aliens vs Predator will have dedicated server support.
“Despite rumours, Rebellion has always been planning to support dedicated servers for Aliens vs Predator PC and we can now officially confirm that this is the case. Rebellion has always appreciated fan support,†said Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley.
“We’re really looking forward to the release of Aliens vs Predator as much as you guys are!â€

The whole dedicated server issue was a publicity stunt, MW2 became the fastest selling game in history and the entertainment industry regardless of the cr@p gamers talked about the dedicated server issue. The whole furor just added to the game’s hype.
As for AVP2… 2010 is going to be a very good gaming year. :w00t:
