Team Ninja has come out in support of the 3DS’s poor battery life by simultaneously trash talking the entire 3D genre and worrying every parent on the block.
The head of Team Ninja, Yosuke Hayashi, while being asked about the battery life stated
basically, 3D viewing for a long time would be kind of tiring for your eyes, that’s why for the hardcore gamer we can switch the 3D depth slider to off
So the devices biggest feature will strain your eyes and us hardcore gamers can thankfully turn it off.
Wouldn’t it just be a better idea to stick to the standard DS then and if we want HD mobile gaming then upgrade to a PSP2 or iPhone?
Personally I want the 3DS because the 3D effect is awesome and the augmented reality blew my mind… that and Dead or Alive is going to be on it and I do love me some DOA.
But coming out and defending a major weakness by trash talking the main feature seems like a bad idea all round.
