Games may be looking increasingly realistic and life-like, but they still don’t look like live-action movies. So, in the build up to the release of ACIV, we’re getting a short film, The Devil’s Spear. It may be releasing tomorrow, but the teaser already looks pretty cool.

In the beginning of the video, I could almost imagine that they were Somali pirates. But no, classic, big-bearded pirates making high-brow statements. Then we get a view of our assassin – what can I say, the hood gave it away. I’m curious to see what the short film looks like – these tie-ins can be pretty cool.
I have mixed feelings about the resurgence in video-game based films. Watch Dogs is getting a feature film and the game hasn’t even been released. I’m as much of a TV and movie fan as the next person, but I have been burned by too many bad adaptations in the past.

The AC Lineage films were a good watch. And they tied into the games in a pretty interesting/unique way. I’d give it a watch, just because I enjoyed those (and I fully plan to play this game – so extra story never hurts).

This ASS CRACK 4 better have a good ending and is not a carrot on the stick 7 part episodic content crock of shit. In fact I will wait until Brenda has finished this time before deciding to kill Moby Dick with my harpoon.

This reminds me so much of the porn film “Pirates”, that was a great porn movie with better acting than this
