It’s less than a month before Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is out, putting you as a soldier in Ancient Greece’s Peloponnesian War. To prepare for the release, Ubisoft has revealed the sort of PC you’ll need to shape the fate of history before the dawn of the Assassins. Ubisoft would also like to make it very clear that this isn’t a simple port of the console versions of the game, and that the PC version will be tailored to that platform.

As such, it’ll include more customisation options than you could shake a staff at, a benchmarking tool and an uncapped frame-rate. What’s quite nice is that it’ll be taking a few cues from console games by offering dynamic resolution scaling so it should look and run well on different configurations. Here are the recommended settings:

I guess I better start looking at finishing Origins. I am on the last mission, but the game world was so massive, I decided to play some of the side missions so that I can at least get the feeling I am getting my worth from the game, before I did the last mission. I guess I might have to skip the side stuff.

I cleared the map befor really getting into the main missions, but I cleared the last area, shut down for the night and never touched it again, except to delete it to clear up some space, game fatigue was super high in that game.

Might go for a reinstall, it was pretty fun.

Maybe the engine is getting a bit long in the tooth!

I like how required specs now are lower than they were at the start of the “next gen” titles.
