At long last, the Batman Arkham Knight PC patch is out

Batman Arkham Knight is easily one of the best action games of the year. It’s also a contender for the most rubbish PC launch of 2015, as that version of the game was so thoroughly broken you’d have thought that Bane was busy introducing developers to Suplex City.

It’s been a rough couple of months for anyone who got their hands on the title before Warner Bros. Interactive pulled it from shelves. After a quick beta test however, the patch is now finally available for anyone who has the game.

There’s no word yet on when Arkham Knight will be back on store shelves however, but here’s what current owners can expect to see fixed in their digital dark knight escapades:

  • Reduced frame rate hitches
  • Optimizations for system memory and VRAM usage
  • Improved performance on all GPUs (requires the latest drivers)
  • More Comprehensive In-Game Settings
  • Fixed low resolution texture bugs
  • Fixed hitches when running on mechanical hard drives (HDD)

In addition to the above, we’re continuing to work on the following for future updates:

  • Adding support for SLI and Crossfire
  • Adding support for the latest DLC & Season Pass content
  • Adding support for additional updates such as Photo Mode
  • Continued improvements and bug fixing for a Windows 7 specific memory issue that occurs on configurations with 8GB of system RAM and some NVIDIA GPUs during extended game play
  • Continued improvements for Windows 10 specific issues on systems with some AMD GPUs

Expect a very intensive new suite of options then for Arkham Knight. I’ve waxed lyrical already about how Arkham Knight is one of my favourite games of the year, and the best Batman game hands down in terms of gameplay, features, extras and visuals.

And to be honest, I’m keen to see just how pretty that game can be on PC. It’s been a long wait, but I reckon for anyone who is getting ready to jump in, it’ll have been worth it.

True, true… I never even finished this POS.. All those tank missions totally became so repetitive that I stopped playing it completely. “Be the Batman” my ass!

          Haha. Exactly.
I played Shadow of Mordor where I rode caragors anyway, so it’s pretty much the same thing, isn’t it?

After playing the game on PS4 and getting so close to finishing 100% only to find it’s rated with a stupid 12/14 tasks completed scale, I was quite Pee Ooed at having the end being determined by a stupid bloody slider bar….

well, is not the case in most games? A good game just hides the mechanics.

Of course, Baldurs Gate 2 was great and the mechanics were in your face (well, in mine, cause I have bee dungeon Master so many times I still, today, remember most of the 2nd edition rules
