Thufferin’ Thuccotash, Batman! Obviously, I don’t know comics. I do know games though, and Eidos Interactive’s take on the Caped Crusader is shaping up to be one of the Dark Knight’s finest video game outings since Sunsoft’s Batman for the NES.
Having clambered its way near the top of my anticipated games list I was filled with equal parts lachrymose disconsolation and convivial jubilation when I’d read that the game’s been delayed.
“Eidos Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment can today confirm that Batman: Arkham Asylum will be released at the end of summer 2009. This additional time will allow us to ensure Batman: Arkham Asylum is of the highest quality for gamers,†they told my tearful smile.
Happy, of course, because the extra production means that we should get a better game; Sad because I really, really want that batarang.
