What’s that? You have yet to engage in the fantastic smash-hit-your-face Arkham City? Prepare for a shunning, the likes of which you have never felt before then.
Ostracising aside, if you’ve been wanting to get your hands on the further adventures of the caped crusader, but haven’t had the time to do so, then maybe this game of the year edition will coax you to put on a cape and cowl and do so.
That is normal, right?
Besides the main game, and all the then-exclusive challenge maps, costumes and characters DLC, purchasers will also get to engage in some gameplay content in the form of “Harley Quinn’s Revenge. Here’s how Warner Bros Interactive describes the new story content;
The Harley Quinn’s Revenge mission sends players back into Arkham City to face their final challenge as they interchange between playing as both Batman and Robin. Gamers must utilize each of the characters’ unique combat and investigative skills to uncover Harley’s vengeful plan and shut the gates on the urban mega-prison forever.
In addition to experiencing a new storyline, fans can explore new environments and face-off against Harley’s all new gang of thugs.
US consumers will also get a downloadable edition of the superb animated film, Batman: Year One. It’s essentially going to be the same price for the same game, but with a bat-utility belt more content and features.
And if that doesn’t convince you to buy it, then check out this cover shot, which features an endorsement from a magazine that doesn’t even exist anymore, on the box.
The GOTY edition launches next month, while those of us who own the game already, can ride the Harley DLC on May 30.
