Battlefield 1943 Fixed… nearly

So I spent a wholly unproductive weekend playing Battlefield 1943 and absolutely loving it and by the time Sunday rolled around all the networking problems had appeared to be fixed.

I could boot up and join a game virtually instantly and in general the lag was well within acceptable limits. So it seems that DICE and EA have resolved the server load issues that plagued the release of this title last week. However all is not 100% yet.

According to reports you may find your soldiers stats and badges reset the next time you log in and all your hard work flushed down the toilet, the key thing here is not to panic.

Apparently DICE is currently running maintenance on the soldiers to improve them in some way or another and all your stats will be returned just as soon as they have finished.

While it has been confirmed that your new kills will still go towards the Coral Sea Challenge it hasn’t been confirmed that any new kills will count towards your personal profile until it has been restored. Consider yourself warned.

Heh, i found a bug… but a very unlikely and funny one. As soon as I spawned for the first time I got hit by a jeep (like instantly!), then for the remainder of the match my soldier would keep sliding backwards no matter what i did or whether I had respawned or not, had to exit the game to fix. hehe. Morale: don’t spawn on roads.
