Sony announced in the past that when gamers buy a copy of Battlefield 3 for the Playstation 3, they will receive a free copy Battlefield 1943 on the Blu-Ray disc as well. This, due to a deal between Sony and EA that would bring exclusive perks to the Playstation 3.

Well, what you didn’t know is that they were crossing their fingers behind their backs when they made the announcement. So it doesn’t actually count.

No but seriously, a statement on Twitter was made after EA altered the deal which now reads:

So… no, you’re not getting your game at all, which is a pretty big bummer considering it was promised to you and instead you get early access to the DLC… yippee?

Well… maybe. I mean, sure it sucks that they promised it and took it away (is that even allowed?) but the point is… you just went out and bought Battlefield 3, what on earth would you be doing playing Battlefield 1943 when you have the bad-ass newest version available to play?

Well, that’s the way its rolling out now anyways and there’s nothing much you can do about it. So how does that make you feel (In a Dr. Phil voice)?
