Battlefield 3 was and still is a popular take on modern shooters, still being played by loads of people. What will its successor do, and can it do better?
There is no denying that the Battlefield series showcases some of the best visuals with each iteration. The demonstration at E3 shows off a large battle occurring aboard a carrier, and man does it look amazing! One thing that always catches my eye with any new game, is that of water. I remember the first time I played Half-Life 2 for example, and was gob smacked by just how real the developers made the water look. Shoot ahead a few years and hot damn, that water looks exceedingly pretty. The ocean flows beautifully amidst the destruction happening aboard the carrier.
Enough about water though, and on to the game! The destruction and gunplay is reminiscent of Battlefield 3, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The sound is top class, and I can only imagine just how explosive it will sound on a full surround system. The gameplay shown is that of single player, and it does honestly look awesome. Lets hope that it is far more memorable this time around!

I didnt buy it, but missing out on 3/4 of the maps, guns and being deprioritised in loading queues to premium users is bs.
Im all for paying for a bit of dlc, but dlc costs more than the game, there is a well big problem.

I agree with you. EA is definitely milking this franchise, and it definitely hurts the consumers. They keep on pumping out these 15$ DLC’s… it’s exhausting. I didn’t buy premium, and I only bought one of the DLCs. I remember Bad Company 2 giving out free map packs every so often, and they were all very high quality. I still enjoyed BF3, but it’s sad what EA has done. 🙁
