Battlefield Hardline is aiming for a 1080P, 60FPS experience

Battlefield-Sardine

One game that I’m genuinely sad that I never got a chance to experience at E3, was Battlefield Hardline. Whenever I went to the E3 booth, the lines were massively clogged with people waiting to get in on the action. Still, from what I saw, the game looked rather decent. And that’s because Visceral was pushing the graphics on the PCs available for hands on. Hopefully, the Xbox One will match it as well.

Speaking to GamingBolt, creative director Ian Milham said of the drive to get the Xbox One version up to scratch that “If you look at the games that Visceral Games has made before, we have always strive[ed] for total parity between our platforms”.

Of course, the PC version, it will do whatever your PC can handle, and the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will obviously not be as high-res as compared to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. But those two [PS4 and Xbox One] should be locked in together.

Interesting. With the Xbox One now having a bit more power to pump out since the Kinect isn’t tetehred to it, a work-around should be hit soon to get Battlefield Hardline running as smoothly as the PS4 version. Ridiculous amounts of property damage while evading the law releases later this year on October 24 for PC, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and Xbox One.

And if you’re lucky enough, you could be playing the beta right now. Battlefield! What’cha gonna do when a building crashes on top of you? Battlefield battlefield, what’cha gonna do, what’cha gonna do when a noob comes for you…

  1. 1080p, 60fps on the Xbone? That is like trying to win the National Voortrekker Egg Throwing Championship when partnered with the one armed cross eyed fat kid.

“With the thoughts from a militant mind
    Hardline, hardline after hardline

    Landlords and power whores
On my people they took turns
    Dispute the suits I ignite
    And then watch ’em burn

Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn”

    – Sorry, but this is all I think of each time I see Hardline.

Oh Once I get in, it runs smoothly, Bit of a memory leak issue, but only noticeable after about 6 hours…. It may have been a sloppy port, but it’s mostly workingh fine now… (at least for me)

I can still (vaguely) remember all the hype for Battlefield 4 less than a year ago.
In fact didn’t BF4 release in October as well?

There is something slightly depressing about realizing that they’ve actually managed to achieve an almost perfect once a year cycle.

Once a year for the franchise but the real battlefield devs are DICE and they’re not responsible for this specific travesty. They are way too busy fixing the bugs they hardcoded into BF4. The age old adage is true, if debugging is the process of removing bugs from software, then programming is the process of putting them in.

I applied for the Beta so when I get home after work I hope that I will a invitation 😀 I hope they manage to get 1080p and 60fps because then the console gamers will enjoy the awesomeness as well 😀

I am thoroughly enjoying the Beta on PC. The one thing I am having trouble with, is the price tag.

I got into the beta (pc), it’s alright I suppose. The map is really tiny. Sure there’s verticality with the skyscrapers, but the width and length really aren’t noteworthy.

Wouldn’t know, haven’t touched CoD since World at War, and prior to that CoD 2. Though, even CoD 1-2 had larger maps.

They dropped the ball though, and just made another Battlefield. This could have been the next Counterstrike. Siege maps that allow the crims to take hostages, where cops have to breach and rescue. Missed opportunity. Large map with a moving convoy that has to be stopped before it can be robbed then the chase to stop the escape. Another missed opportunity.

If the rest of the game mirrors that map yeah, I completely agree.
