I’m a self confessed hater when it comes to the PS Vita. I don’t see the point and have not been the least bit surprised when it comes to reporting on its poor sales record… I also never saw the point of remote play as it was so selective.. but that is about to change.
According to a poster on NeoGaf, going by the alias Xbudz, he has managed to load some custom firmware onto his existing PlayStation 3 which allows it to force remote play onto every single existing PS3 game.
Yes that is the brand new Bioshock: Infinite playing on a PS Vita via remote play.
So this is great news… but it won’t be available to you until the release of the PlayStation 4.
The only way to get this working is to have a specified firmware version running on your PS3 and to load extra custom firmware as well. I won’t be listing those as they are mainly used for piracy.
However it is disappointing to see that Sony have the technology to make this happen already and are not releasing it in one of their many many updates.
But the PS Vita may still have a future after all, as long as it is still around after the PS4 is released.

If M-net can keep The Wild on for 3 seasons, then SONY can keep the VITA alive until the PS4 comes out…
