Bloodborne beats out Battlefield Hardline on PSN

Bloodborne spider

It is far too complicated these days to measure games against each other. There are so many factors, platforms and systems. However, looking at just the PSN, we can get some perspective on what’s happening in the PlayStation universe, and there, Bloodborne is king.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, the numbers are in for March. So, which games came in on top?

  • Bloodborne
  • Battlefield Hardline
  • Resident Evil Revelations 2
  • Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition
  • The Last of Us Remastered
  • Helldivers
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse
  • Monopoly Plus
  • Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
  • FIFA 15
  • Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
  • Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
  • Trials Fusion
  • PES 2015 Pro Evolution Soccer
  • Life is Strange
  • DRIVECLUB
  • Outlast
  • Dying Light

It’s cool to see Bloodborne debut at number 1, although not particularly surprising. What does make me happy is to see Helldivers premier so far up the list. It’s such a rad game and deserves tons of love and attention. While Battlefield was destined to do well, I’m just sad to see so many remasters on the list. Obviously it’s great to see that people are finally playing some cool games that they might have missed out on before, but at the moment this whole list feels like a collection of last year’s cool games. But then, maybe I just associate them with last year because of their original release dates before they were delayed into 2015.

Are you still playing Bloodborne? Have you finished the game, or are you still fighting your fear of spiders?

‘the numbers are in’ – no sales numbers in article. CDPR will tell us how much their game sold on GOG. Steam doesn’t give sale numbers. Xbox Live nor PSN, no sales numbers. Origin, nope. ect. It makes me wonder.
Actual sales numbers vs what people think they are. I would bet people think digital sells much more than actual numbers.

Anyway. to my comment. If you look at that list, and yes if you add retail to that list it might look much different, but I have a feeling it won’t. 2 first person shooters on that list. Second and then last on the list.

Is that not what we have been saying about Playstation gamers. More single player games, more variety of games, new ip’s, ect.

Xbox is where you find all the first person shooters, call of duty’s, sports near the top, and of cause tv. Let’s not forget lot’s of sequels.

A little disappointed that Axiom Verge isn’t even on the list, finished Bloodborne, trading it for MK today.

Old games are old, no wonder you never have to upgrade your PC

PC gamers don’t get that option of trading in games or selling them when you done playing.

So don’t make it sound like you have that option. Oh I would never trade in games. Yeah that’s because you can’t.

        Don’t Support DRM.

Bloodborne broke the 1million sales barrier yesterday, good showing! Serious shortage of good games overall it seems if Monopoly is in the top 10 though…????

Yeah I said it the other day… There is a very real lack of AAA games this gen so far on all consoles and even PC!! I find myself playing old games again at the moment because there is just nothing new that I want to play!! Batman can’t come quick enough!! I am even getting a little excited for Witcher 3, which is not a genre I like at all… this games drought is forcing me to test new genre’s…
