Bloodborne will roll into the east in February

Bloodborne

Fans of Dark Souls can be an annoying bunch. I have a couple of friends who constantly tell me, “It’s so rewarding! It’s just trial and error! 10/10 MUST PLAY!” Yet when we are in Teamspeak together, all I hear are screams of anguish, piles of swear words, and multiple rage quits. If you’re a sucker for punishment fan of that, I’m sure you are looking forward to Bloodborne. It has received a release date.

The date was revealed during the Sony pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference. The game will launch on PlayStation 4 next year, on February the 5th. That will be only in Japan though. There is no solid Western release date just yet.

I reached out to our very own Zoe Hawkins who got a sneak peek of the game at Gamescom, this is what she had to say:

It’s a strange Steampunk-esque type of Dark/Demons Souls. It will crush my will, and I can’t wait!

She also did an article a while back , insisting that the game will make you regain your will to fight. Here’s the demo from Gamescom.

While we may or may not be getting the game in February, that month is already packed with other releases. Will it affect it’s overall sales in Japan? Only time will tell. Until then, you can all go back to crying mercilessly playing Dark or Demon’s Souls.

Are you excited for this? Personally, I have zero interest, but I haven’t tried any Souls games, making my opinion pretty darn useless. Is it something that I should be playing?

  1. If you have an Xbox 360 I can send you my copy of Dark Souls… I have flung enough controllers at TV screens in my life, thank you very much…

Souls is not just about the difficulty,. In all honesty, once you get the hang of it its not THAT hard. Thing is, people make it sound unrealistically hard and unfair. but its not. Save a few scenarios, if you die. Its YOUR fault. That is the beauty of the game and that is why it is so satisfying. Dark Souls 1 is still one of those games that I personally feel was ahead of a lot of games and quite revolutionary in terms of story telling, community building and gameplay

I just want one thing, just one. Spawn points at boss fights. The only reason I beat Dark Souls and Demon Souls is because near the end I stripped my armor so that I could run bare ass with max stamina past the enemies without having to fight them just to get to the boss again.

No you know what? I rage quit after facing the first real monster. I mean, my first time facing this thing, I got the thing 3/4 dead. And then I died. Fair enough.
So I tried again. The exact same tactic did not even make a dent in that things health! And I got my behind handed to me on a silver platter again.
Games like that are no fun.

What? You didnt move past Asylum Demon? That big demon in the start?? Well you can kill it, but firstly you’re meant to run away till you get proper equipment

Oh I will give you that one. I seriously cannot handle games that raises my anger levels like that any more.

Meh. Some you win, some you lose. Besides, what did you expect from a Sims fan? 😛

Actually after his first one on one encounter with the Predator he realized he could hide his body heat in the mud. He then made his own weapons and constructed booby traps to lure the Predator into a fight he was more prepared for.

      100%.

By the end of DS 1, I was a tank…whenever I died, it was because /i/ did something stupid. Game isn’t unfair. 2 took several steps backwards in that regard.

Couldn’t agree more! 2 treated death as a gimmick in all honesty. The fact that there was a monument chronicling how many people died in the game so far just further enforces that idea. In all honesty, 2 took things way back. Hopefully Bloodborne will be different. But at the very least the setting is looking OUTSTANDING

I would say that Bloodborne is a good reason to go out and buy a PS4. Sony needs the PS4 to sell in Japan. So Bloodborne only getting a release there for now is all about making Japanese gamers feel special again.
But February 24th is The Witcher 3 on PC by CD Projekt RED. Bloodborne just and the PS4 will just have to wait.

I still haven’t finished Dark Souls. I’ve tried. I’ve tried so so hard. I just either suck or the game is impossible. I am going to go for impossible
