Borderlands Trade System – Gearbox Could Change It, Just For You

Trading systems… without them. the online world can be a dark and cruel place to be.

As you know, a ton of people are busy with their Borderlands co-op campaigns while we are all sitting at our desks. Playing with some friends in any co-operative game can be some of the most fun that you will ever have, as long as everyone works together and shares the goodies.

Playing with random people online though, in a game that only shares money and experience can be a bit of a big problem when an enemy drops that one item you really wanted and some other douche picks it up for himself even though his character class can’t even use it.

With no trade system, you have to drop a weapon on the floor for someone else to pick up. Play with the right morons in your game and you will see them snatch it up off of the floor before the intended receiver can even pick it up, which means once again the gaming world is in need of protection from it’s own stupid gamers.

Gearbox have come out and said that if people really want it, they will attempt to patch all versions of the game to include a more secure trade system. You see, accrording to their very own Mikey Neumann at Gearbox they handled things differently:

“A lot of times if we wanted something, we’d duel for it, That seems to be the best way,”

“It’s kinda the honor system. It is fun to fight your friends and show who’s the big dog to get certain loot drops”

That’s great and all but really just doesn’t apply when your team is made up of some over-sugared 14 year old who finally took a break from Halo and now believes that he should grace another game world with his unmatched l33t skillz.

Gearbox admits that it will not be all that easy, and some technical problems will fight them but if it is at all possible, it will be done if people want it.

  1. If you run with your friends it really isn’t a problem. I can’t stop playing this game! It’s so much fun
