Brain Training for Kinect – This actually looks fun

I’m a sucker for these brain training games, I think it’s mainly because I need constant reassurance that I am not incredibly stupid and cheating at these games gives me that…

But back to the point, Namco Bandai has announced Brain Training for the Kinect which will be released on the 20th of November to coincide with the release of Natal in the land of the rising sun.

It’s a similar idea to all the other brain training games but in this one you need to control it with your body, kind of like trying to rub your head and pat your stomach at the same time… but with points involved.

Check out the two video’s after the break and I personally am hoping this lands on western shores sooner rather than later.

Like I said before, Kinect is not being made for the core gamer in my opinion

Launch is not for ‘Core’ gamers. Some hardcore gamers may like this but the majority wont. The simply truth is both Move and Kinect won’t be hardcore on launch. They want to sell units and then when they have made their money back they’ll focus on the Core audience.

I like the way Gavin Mannion convinces himself to have a reason to buy Kinect lol

Only problem is the brain training game revolution has lost momentum. It’s no longer this incredible phenomena. Japan practically lost it’s collective minds 5 years ago with these games, and they eventually filtered our way, and it’s definitely something Nintendo capitalized on with their DS games (which incidentally WAS a lot of fun… lol my brain age was 69 :o)

However, MS is slow to the party, and it’s clear from their lineup that they’re not leaders or innovators but rather followers of trends.

He has two young daughters; and that’s reason enough. As vocal as I’ve been against Kinect, I’ll probably still end up picking it up for the kids, even if there’s nothing available that interests me personally.

I have been saying I am getting Kinect ever since trying Fitness evolved at E3. This and Kinect Adventures for the family just seals the deal.

Where’s all the hate on the Move article posted earlier?
