Burnout Xbox 360 vs PS3 video comparison

We have heard recently that the PS3 version of Burnout Paradise City is graphically better on the PS3 so it is no suprise to see a million different comparisons popping up.

Personally I think even with this dodgy web video the PS3 version just looks that little bit better. Especially in the pre-rendered crash scene.

So whether you go for the prettier PS3 version or the rumbling Xbox 360 version, this game looks like a solid title to add to your collection.

Does your controller rumble Abe or is that something extra you need to bye [err buy] 😀

Until the rumbling SIXAXIS is sold in PAL areas I am going to class the PS3 as unrumbling.

lol… lazy, why would need to bye? don’t you mean BUY? lol…
well… fine, you enjoy your rumble. When rumbling controls come out, I think then, we can start have serious debates about each console… Right now, it’s not fair…

I downloaded the HD version from GamerSyde. There are a few versions and the one I had a look at was the one that was supposed to show dropped frames in the XBox version.

To be honest I could not tell the difference, it looked great on both versions. I could not see the frame drops on the XBox version. I suppose if they picked it up is has to be there but if it is so hard to discern then it is not really relevant – in my opinion.

“Especially in the pre-rendered crash scene.”

No pre-rendered crash scenes lazy, all realtime… Would be impossible to use pre-rendered scenes as you can customize car color and the crashes show impact points…

Really cool game I must say, crashes are spectacular, on the to-bye-list ( 🙂 )

@Johnn0, Well I would say it’s a mix between pre-rendered and realtime.. I could be wrong but it seems like the game renders a crash scene as you hit the wall and then shows it. I see it as different to true real time because once the scene starts nothing will stop it…

I agree though this game is a must have by the look of it…

there is nothing pre-rendered about the crash-scenes. the camera dislocates and jumps to different views, and there are a couple of after-effects added on top of a _replay_ of a crash for a dramatic documentary/MTV style type-of-thing.

even the cut-scenes use the in-game camera.

pre-rendered is something completely different. think intro to Final Fantasy or something.

and yeah: after playing the demo all weekend this one is on my post-xmas-wishlist too…
