Cadence title

I’ve mentioned Cadence to you before, but I honestly didn’t know much about the game. Now it has a trailer and Greenlight campaign, and you really need to support this awesome local indie.

Cadence is a self-described “zenlike generative audio puzzle game” where your goal is simple. Connect musical nodes and create an infinite loop. Sounds like a simple puzzler/musical toy, but this teaser trailer showed me that it’s so much more:

For those who don’t watch videos, um, there isn’t really a way to explain the way the music is created except to say that it’s really cool. The game is in development for iPad, PC and Mac and is hoping for some Steam Greenlight loving, so please go over there and vote for this very cool, innovative game.

I have a feeling this is the type of game I could easily fall in love with. I love puzzle games, and I really enjoy some music toys – they can get rather addictive. Made with Monster Love is based in Cape Town and an active part of our local development community. So, let’s show this local indie some serious loving – I want to play this game on my iPad, and I doubt the game will be as good if the developer has to subsist entirely on two-minute noodles.

I voted when Rince first posted about it in the comments section yesterday.
I didn’t realize it was a locally developed game until now.

Additional info: it is confirmed that the game is intended to have a level editor but this feature is still in development and may only be included as a stretch goal.
I’m very keen to see this with a fully functional level editor.

On a side note my weekend has started.

I love the idea of a level editor too. That would be brilliant! On a side note, another 45 minutes for my weekend arrival 🙁

Oh that is a nice way to start a Friday. I am sitting here itching to get home. That being said I am happy as I have a new Witcher 2 canvas print I am going to put up at home tonight. WIN!
