JISLAAIK IT BRU!

While folks still refuse to believe that I actually play Call Of Duty for the single-player and not the humiliating multiplayer wherein I have the motor reflex skills of a sloth that has eaten too many Jamaican brownies, they’re more than willing to accept that I also dig the extra modes offered in the game. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 had the best Zombie mode in my humble opinion, with many an hour spent shooting and cursing at the screen. Advanced Warfare will also have such a mode present, when it lands in January.

The first expansion for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare will go under the moniker of Havoc when it drops, and include the much-asked for Exo Zombies mode. The first of the four usual DLC packs available in the season pass, Havoc will then be followed by the release of the Ascendance, Supremacy and Reckoning expansions.

“As things were wrapping up around launch, we started playing around with the idea of what happens when zombies were thrown into the mix with exoskeleton gameplay,” developer Sledgehammer Games wrote ontheir official blog. “What we came up with is Exo Zombies – an entirely new breed of zombies and an entirely new co-op experience that is truly unique to Advanced Warfare.”

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this year’s Call Of Duty, but it hasn’t been a smooth launch for the game. Lag issues persisted for far too long for the game, with the multiplayer lobbies filled to bursting with angrier than usual players who couldn’t get to grips with the delay in action which might have ruined their chances to double-slam enemies with a zinger of an insult directed at opposing player’s mothers.

Never mind the brouhaha that was formed when it was announced that the popular zombies mode were part of a DLC addition to the game, which had many a fan swearing off the franchise for good before returning to play some Free For All ten minutes later. The public opinion hasn’t been in the favour of Sledgehammer and Activision since the game was launched, but I’m an eternal optimist. Maybe the 2015 DLC can turn things around. If you can afford that is.
