Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare will have a traditional multiplayer mode

You may laugh about it, but playing a new Call Of Duty game that actually gives you several new movement options is a monumental shift for folks that have become invested in the franchise. It’s all about exoskeletons this year, with Advanced Warfare giving players some handy new moves to make the most of a multiplayer match-up, as well as some added verticality within which to go pew pew pew. If you’re not keen on that though, and prefer some good ol’ fashioned COD action, there’ll be some vanilla modes available as well when the game’s launched

That’s according to Sledgehammer Games co-founders Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, who explained to DvLZStaTion that a playlist would be on offer that strips the exoskeleton gameplay and several abilities out of the match for a more traditional experience:

We also understand that some players may want to go back to a more traditional styled. So, there’ll be a traditional playlist where you can play Team Deathmatch, Domination, Capture the Flag, and others without Boost Jump, without your Exo. So, you and your friends who want to play that way, we’ll have a playlist just for you.

Thing is, I don’t see the point of buying the game and not making full use of those new exo-suit skills. Hell, you might as well just go buy a copy of Black Ops 2 then. Thing is, I want those new abilities. I want skills that can pay the bills, as the exo-suit might finally, finally give me that leverage I need to be able to play a round of multiplayer and not die constantly. This might sound weird, but the exo-suit gameplay might make COD fun again.

And that’s all I want, really.
