Last year when Modern Warfare 2 broke all records by selling a mind-blowing 4.7 million copies worth $310,000,000 US Dollars we all thought that the record would stay unbeaten for quite a long time.

Well, it didn’t. According to Activisions day 1 sales estimates, Call of Duty: Black Ops opened on its first day with a ludicrous 5.6 Million units sold at a value of $360,000,000 US Dollars. Bobby Kotick had a few things to say with regards to the best franchise evaaaar also saying that:

“Call of Duty: Black Ops is the finest game that Treyarch has ever made and raises the bar for online gameplay by delivering the deepest and most intense Call of Duty experience yet”

Yeah… whatever Bobby. While we have been enjoying the game a lot, we all know that in your mind all you were really saying is:

“$$$$ $$$ $$$$ $$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$ $$$ $$ $$$$$$ $ $$$$”

Also, the first crazy-stupid awesome tomahawk kill has hit the web. Hit the jump to watch it.

  1. It’s all about the money. Bobby saying it’s the “finest game” and “raises the bar of online play” just shows how much he really knows. The PC version of the game is horribly broken… even after the patch released people still have horrible frame-rates & stuttering problems.

Sad day for gaming if you can release a broken game and still make bucket-loads of money.
