PC gamers get blamed for piracy all the time. The master race, console gamers affirm, are degenerates who refuse to pay for games. Why then, is it becoming increasingly common for console versions of big games to hit the seedy underbelly of the internet first? One such game is Call of Duty: Ghosts.
We’ve received a few reports – which we’ve confirmed ourselves – that Call of Duty: Ghosts is already available to download, clocking in at about 10Gb. Usually, it tends to be the Xbox 360 version that hits torrents first, but in this case, it’s the PlayStation 3 version. We won’t link to the files, because piracy sucks – but anybody who knows how to use the internet should be able to find them.
We also got another report that legitimate copies of the game are for sale, on more than one format, in the Middle East already, well ahead of the intended street date – so expect the 360 version to be available for download soon.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is hitting retail on November 5 for the PC, Xbox 360, Wii U and PS3 versions. Next gen versions will launch alongside the new consoles.

You are talking CRAP, the PS4 is much more powerful than you think.
For Battlefield 4, the PS4 is very competitive with the PC version, in fact a major German PC magazine PCGH recommends the PS4 version over PC!!!!!!! Essentially, they praise the PS4 version as it is pretty much locked at 60FPS and you would have to spend 1000€ on a new PC to get the same quality and performance available on the 399€ PlayStation 4.
So you have to spend more than double the money on PC to match optimised games on PS4, that is from a PC gamer magazine.

I have two jobs in IT. I’ve been gaming on consoles and PC for years and I can tell you as a fact that, although “high spec ones” is very generalized as a statement, you are wrong.
The games on consoles are more optimized to work well on the platform. The optimization is usually more rigorous on developer company’s end.
PC still cranks out more clarity, particles, framerate, and over-all more immersive experience as can be seen in comparison shots of PS4 vs. Enthusiast Gaming Rig images and video.
The hardware in a custom or high-end gaming pc is much more powerful than some kids console.
At the end of the day, High-end/custom PC=more power than console…but,
console=best cost for competitive performance in gaming vs. the PC.

With the advent of Torrents, bad files are ‘mostly’ a thing of the past. After 1 person downloads it and realizes it’s junk, they usually post the information on the torrents download page, then remove their tracker which stops them from sharing to the community. It’s pretty much a real-time way to crush virus laden, or non-functioning programs.

I’m getting a PS4 with loads of games this Xmas all @1080p – FIFA, COD, Killzone, etc… all reported to look stunning.
I don’t want to sit alone in a dark cellar huddled around my keyboard mouse and monitor like you weirdo peasant PC trolls. So F*ck off.

That’s nice. I don’t care.

I can play from my couch on my TV with a controller too. But I don’t.
Heh, stunning compared to what, PS3? Crysis is 7 years old.
Think about that for a second. 7 years.
I didn’t have a stellar machine at the time, but it still looked way better than anything on consoles.

October 31, 2013 at 22:39
Yeah, and every time i played on multiplayer game on PC in the past, there were so many hackers, cheaters and aimbots I gave up on PC multiplayer gaming – no fun being killed by cheaters. On console gaming, in 15 years of gaming, I think I only been in a multiplayer hacked lobby twice. So enjoy your hacking, pirating and cheating on PC games you f*cking troll, we have much more fun on console.
Conor
October 31, 2013 at 22:50
Another great thing about PC is dedicated servers. If a hacker does come on it takes about 10 seconds to find another server.
Or I can set up my own and password it.
Or I could join a Whitelisted server.
Hackers really aren’t that big an issue.
Richard
October 31, 2013 at 23:06
You know what Conor, millions of console gamers could not give flying f*ck about PC.
True story, I tried to pre-order my PS4 few weeks ago, four of the shops said that demand and pre-orders for PS4 were so incredibly high that they could not take my pre-order and that they might have PS4 stock available next year. They said demand for the PS4 around the ENTIRE WORLD was at the same unprecedented levels. Only one shop took my pre-order and I hope to get my PS4 this Xmas. So back to your cellar and stop trolling about mext gen consoles, we don’t give a f*ck about PC.
Oh yeah, I’ll repeat you will need more than £800 to £1000 on a new PC to match performance £349 PS4. So for the money, PS4 is far better than PC.

Actually got about 3 hours into The Last of Us and got bored. It’s an OK game at best. I went back to ArmA 2 and 3. Garry’s Mod. CounterStrike, Path of Exile, Warframe, Prison Architect, Chivalry, DOTA, Command & Conquer, STALKER, League of Legends, Civ 5 or any of the other 4000+ PC Exclusives.
Thanks to iceNhancer I have GTA 4 (Which is Ok) looking generations better than GTA V. Enjoy your draw distance pop ins.
No once cares about your car dude.
Richard
November 1, 2013 at 01:53
The Last of Us metacritic 95, much higher than any of the generic PC crap that you mention, and console exclusives have had more Game of The Years than PC. And with next gen we will get all the PC games on PS4, to make up for the amount f*cking pirates on PC. And you wish you had enough money to afford my car peasant.
Conor
November 1, 2013 at 02:13
Garry’s Mod is generic now? Funny since it’s one of the most unique games ever made.
All PC games on PS4? ArmA has something to say about that.
And as for making up for piracy on PC, EA published some numbers for last quarter putting PC well out in front of either PS3 and XBox360.It was also up by 8% over the same quarter last year.
And yeah, what sort of idiot wouldn’t like a little more money? What a bizarre and redundant statement.

Read that and weep, check out the BF4 PS4 youtube videos, all report the PS4 version is stunning equivalent of a PC more than double the price of a PS4, PCGH is telling the truth.
Conor, stop trolling, crawl back to your cellar and cry about how much better value the £349 PS4 is than your new gaming PC.
Conor
October 31, 2013 at 22:37

Nope.

Richard
October 31, 2013 at 22:44
Check Youtube, IGN, Vikstarr, Jackfrags and LevelCapgaming – all reporting the PS4 version of BF4 is stunning, comparable with High setting 60 fps on PC, so basically £1000 PC performance is the same as a £349 PS4.
Oh yeah, all reported hands on of PS4 Killzone SF say absolutely stunning graphics – even PC gamers very impressed. Crawl back to your cellar troll.
Conor
October 31, 2013 at 22:55
Except for £1000 you’ll be running it on Ultra, not High.
PS4 is comparable to PC,except with x2 AA, worse lighting and worse textures.
You’re right Dick, comparable but not the same. Not nearly.

Piracy on consoles have been going and has been wide spread ever since the Playstation 1.
Only reason why PC as been branded as the “piracy platform” is that it could be quantified by looking at torrent download numbers where as the majority of console piracy was hardcopy based… until now.

Old Mod chips is custom hardware (sometimes custom even custom silicon) manufactured by a few suppliers.
For them to be able to sell these units at less than a $100 per unit at a profit the market has to console pirate customer base has to be 100k or even million units.
Around 1 million xbox live users (5%) were banned for using modded consoles; taking into account not all (probably most) modded console owners were not using xbox live and the MS were not able to detect newer generation mods estimation 10% to 25% of 360’s has been modded.
