SA’s windy city is hosting a Black Ops 2 tournament this Saturday (11 May) in Rondebosch.

The tournament comprises eight teams going in four versus four events, with entries restricted to MSSA teams and members.

MWeb has offered prizes valued over R3 000 for the top three places.

  • First Prize: R400 Kalahari voucher for each member of the team. (Total: R1600)
  • Second Prize: R250 Kalahari voucher for each member of the team. (Total: R1000)
  • Third Prize: R150 Kalahari voucher for each member of the team. (Total: R600)
  • T-shirts will be on hand and given away as spot prizes.

Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) is careful to point out that this tournament is NOT for Western Province Provincial colors – that event will be taking place 4 August.  Instead, the winning team will represent the south in a “North vs. South” match against the Gauteng Provincial team.

Be aware – the only platform will be Xbox.  It is hoped that the event will introduce local gamers to the MSSA console gaming event structure.  Entries are still open – check out details below:

Details:

  • Date: Saturday 11 May 2013
  • Time: 10am
  • Venue: GAMES ON Gaming Lounge, Riverside Mall, Rondebosch, Cape Town

  • Platform: Xbox 360

  • Registration: Please email dredd@zombiegamer.co.za to register your team. Please note that registration will be based on a first come first served basis and will be restricted to eight teams. Since when is Cape Town the windy city? Surely we’re more known as the Mother City?

As opposed to Jozi, where they have been working on the roads for how long???? Even if you have something to do, everything you own has been stolen by the time you get back ;-p
EDIT: We are slow though 🙂

I thought Darryn-Dorp (aka Port Elizabeth) was the windy city?

Oh, didn’t know about the American bit.

It may be windy, but it’s more famously known as the Mother City.
