Cho'gall

At BlizzCon this year, Blizzard unveiled a whack of new content for their excellent MOBA, Heroes of the Storm. The highlight of these announcements, for me at least, was the dual-headed champion, Cho’gall, who actually requires two people to play. I tried him… erm… them out at the conference, and it proved to be a rather fantastic experience.  Are you keen to try the chieftain out yourself? Best you grab a friend, because the Nexus will be receiving the pair soon!

But first, who the hell is Cho’gall? Here’s a quick bio (via Heroes of the Storm Gamepedia):

Powerful, dangerous, insane—many words have been used to describe the Chieftain of the Twilight’s Hammer clan, and yet they still fail to truly capture Cho’gall’s madness.

Two personalities share the body of Cho’gall: Gall, cunning master of dark magics and forbidden incantations, and Cho, who’s never met a problem he couldn’t punch really, really hard. When working together, Cho’s powerful attacks and Gall’s destructive spells feed into each other to make Cho’gall’s enemies rue the day they crossed paths with this ogre. With Cho’s brawn and Gall’s dark powers, these two are ready to take the Nexus by storm… as soon as they can agree on a plan

Unfortunately, there is no specific release date for Cho’gall. All Blizzard have said is that he (or they… WHATEVER) will be coming to Heroes of the Storm soon. A character spotlight has been released however, leading me to believe that the release is not far off at all.

Having Cho’gall on a team quite literally counts as having two people, making it a 4 v 5 affair (assuming the enemy team doesn’t have a Cho’gall themselves). He has a ridiculously high health pool, making him tough to take down. If he does die however, it counts as a double kill, so it’s well worth the effort.

Communication is key to playing this hero correctly. Cho’gall will either bring people together, or destroy friendships. Either way, I can’t wait to see how he’s handled by the public when he’s released to the main client!

I hope he is out before we start the Hots Tourney as I already own him due to my virtual ticket. 🙂
