COD5 Day One Advantage is not so bad

So yesterday Nick posted about the rumoured “Day One Advantage” which will allow people who pre-order the game to rank up quicker in the game.

However this seems to have just been another case of Internet broken telephone. There will be a “Day One Advantage” if you pre-order COD5 from Gamespot, but this advantage is simply one of the higher powered rifles that the rest of us plebs will need to unlock.

So in essence some people will be getting an early advantage but nothing that the rest of us can’t catch up on quickly enough.

I am not sure I am comfortable with someone getting an advantage like this but at least it’s not as bad as earlier feared.
