Codemasters VP, Gavin Cheshire, has been speaking about the PSP in a recent interview and he hasn’t held back at all.
To say he doesn’t like the PSP would be an incredible understatement.
“Well, speaking as a person who bought a PSP, the problem was that I always thought – because it was a better screen than iPod’s – that I’d be doing more with it. But it was such a bollocking useless waste of space; just getting stuff on it was ridiculousâ€
Remember Codemasters have released software on the PSP before and when asked about that he seemed to struggle to answer it nicely and in the end just went with a direct answer.
“Relatively speaking, [Codemasters] didn’t do too badly on F1 PSP. But regarding the future, I think they’ve got – well… no.â€
But that’s not all, when asked about the PSPGo he wasn’t as harsh but it doesn’t look positive for the future.
“PSPgo’s a lovely device,â€
“[It’s]really smart – but our senior VP bought one the day it came out and has a great story, because he ended up on some customer support line just trying to do basic stuff. He had to re-download his software, do an immediate firmware update, and that’s your user experienceâ€
So let’s not hold out any hopes that Codemasters will be developing anything for the PSP going forward.

So ill do it> Eventually…..
Still a brilliant device for its time!
