The Command and Conquer franchise was a mainstay of the real-time strategy genre, basically synonymous with the loop of base-building and enemy-crushing. The franchise is returning from the grave in the form of Command and Conquer: Rivals, a mobile competitive outing. The game features recognisable characters, buildings, and vehicles, and once again sees the GDI pitted against the Brotherhood of Nod. Of course, the gameplay is dramatically simplified for mobile devices, and a match is won by destroying your opponent’s base. This is done by ordering units around, capturing control points and missile silos, and  sending the good ‘ole Tiberium Harvester to gather resources. This is what I don’t get. EA are not stupid, they must have known E3 audience would have kicked back hard on this.. so why announce it at a conference. We aren’t the target audience
