4 men have been arrested for attempting to sell counterfeit goods at Brightwater Commons on the weekend.

The goods were valued at R300 000 and were mainly DVD’s and console games.

One of the arrested men was the owner of two of the stores as well who was arrested trying to leave.

In related news another pirate was sentenced to 18 months in jail with only 6 suspended. Which means he is going to be in jail for 12 months…

Both these cases were a direct result of the recent crime line which was initiated by Primedia…

Congrats to all involved

I’m confused. At the Brightwater Commons? Which stores? It couldn’t possibly be AnimeWorx, right? That would be an absolute heartbreaker…

No dude it was the two dodgy shops in the flea market itself, why would Animeworx be raided? Their stuff is legit.

The only time I even required a dodgy flea market place, My original Xbox’s dvd rom drive broke, cannot find it in most legit places :-(. But glad to see the dodgy pirate shops going down 😀
