Crikey, it’s another fake pocket monster from Pokémon Sun and Moon

Koala-Mon

I have spent a lot of time on Pokémon lately. Time spent on breeding and capturing the little buggers, that could most likely have been better spent on learning a new skill or figuring out how to interact with people (Apparently staring at them with unblinking eyes doesn’t work). I’ve got 721 Pokémon in my online bank, 721 creatures which I’ll transfer over to Pokémon Sun and Moon so that I can get that magical 100% Pokedex completion because dammit guys this stuff is important to me! IT’S REAL TO ME, DAMMIT!

Anyway, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. A new Pokémon games means new Pokémon to catch. Most likely in the region of a hundred new critters, which I’m chomping at the bit to see more of next month when fresh new details are revealed. That also means that my gullibility is at an all-time high, as I’ll devour anything which looks almost legit.

Like this Blinky Bill fella, which is an extraordinary fake:

Koalamon

Yes, that looks like a Grass-type Koala Pokémon, which briefly appeared on the Pokémon Sun Mexico Twitter feed before being removed. And it was about as authentic as my love for healthy food choices. The Twitter feed for starters, isn’t official, while the Spanish grammar was a complete mess. Here’s the real kicker however according to NeoGAF: The plush Koala that the original tweet was apparently hocking around as upcoming merchandise, is just a run of the mill hairy tree-hugger that you can customise online.

Simple as that. Which completely dashes my hopes that we’d see a new region based on Australia, which would see Poison-type Pokémon finally get some much-needed love. There’s plenty of fakes out there, so keep an open mind on this stuff as the Pokémon Sun feeds start to pick up. Now if you’ll excuse me, this dodgy Facebook site with behind-the-scenes art of the Fire-type starter Bloodfart looks completely authentic to me.

Australian based Pokemon? What? Do you want to turn Pokemon in to the stuff of nightmares?
