Date set for Driver: San Francisco demo

I posted up a video last week that explained the multiplayer side of the upcoming Driver: San Francisco and ever since then I have been itching to get my hands on the game for some first hand impressions.

Well thankfully that problem has now been solved with Ubisoft announcing that a demo of their game is going to be released on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 on the 17th of August.

Which thankfully is just over 2 weeks away and even I can hold out that long.

The demo will consist of three separate modes the first being The Escapist which is as it sounds. You have a VIP passenger and you need to escape from the chasing police.

I’m guessing the passenger part is to ensure you don’t simply shift away from the police.

The next mode is Prove It where you win extra points for pulling off stunts and tricks while being chased and finally we have Team Colours.

Team Colours apparently is all about being able to shift between two cars and then finish first and second in a race. I’m not sure how that would possibly work but thankfully it’s only 2 weeks until we find out for ourselves.
