I am pretty damned excited for Capcom’s Xbox One exclusive, Dead Rising 3. It may look all serious, but it got that irreverent and wacky gameplay you’d expect from Dead Rising. This new announcement though, tempers that excitement a little. Like a certain other Xbox One launch game, it’ll be getting a Season Pass – which means a ton of DLC has been announced before the game is even out.
It’ll cost you $29.99 (around R300) and will contain four add-on packs, which would each cost you $10 unbundled.
The expansions are entitled: Operation Broken Eagle, Fallen Angel, Chaos Rising, and The Last Angel. Each of the DLC campaigns will give you a new playable character, along with new missions, weapons, vehicles and other bits of silliness. The first such DLC will be out in December. Those who purchase the Season Pass “Nick Ramos Tribute Pack,” which nets you an extra skin for the hero, along with a muscle car.
I have no real problem with DLC, or Season passes – but keep that info to yourselves until the game is actually out. The way it’s done now, makes it feel like you’re selling us an unfinished, incomplete game.
Anyway, here’s the game’s latest trailer, which has a bit of a Halloween motif to it. Crap. Now I want the game again.

I played DR2 and it wasn’t, but I seriously don’t get the hype for DR3. Am I missing something?

TLOU also seems to be getting it right, as ND are still busy with the development of the DLC currently.

It worked for Borderlands 2 though. So, I’d wait until at least 3 of the extra bits have been released. If it’s worth it, buy.

I am looking so forward to the next generation. In fact I have stocks in a POP CORN company.
I am just going to sit back and watch this cluster fuck unfold all over again.
