The Master Race demands nice things; and by nice things I mean a swathe of video and graphical settings, DirectX 11, and super high-resolution textures. The PC version of Dead Space 3 will contain none of these things.
games.on.net asked Visceral Games at an event about what extra features or setting PC gamers might expect from Dead Space 3. The answer? Nothing.
They were told to expect a straight-up console port. Yup – No DirectX 11, no pretty textures and pretty much nothing to differentiate it from the console versions of the games. PC gamers have been moaning for years about their games being held back by 7 year old hardware, and that the current generations of consoles are stifling the advancement of videogames.
And you know what? They’re right. If there’s anybody who should be looking quite forward to the next generation of consoles and the advancements they’ll bring, it’s bleeding-edge PC gamers – who might actually see their expensive hardware utilised properly in “next-generation” games.
