Bucket from the moon

The ALS Ice-Bucket challenge is more viral than that whole neknomination was. We’ve mentioned it before, but it has gotten even cooler as studios are getting on board and making some awesome videos.

Gavin already told you about the real gaming big wigs who have taken the challenge. He then proceeded to do his own challenge, and since we love seeing him suffer, let’s watch that again:

He also challenged Devon (from Megarom) and Graeme (from Xbox South Africa) to do their own which you can watch by clicking their names. However, our real life buddies aren’t the only ones taking the challenge. Warframe decided to make a donation on behalf of all the Tenno out there, dousing the Corpus in some seriously cold water:

Their nominees included Destiny’s Ghost. Well, this ice bucket came from the moon!

It makes me happy to see so many people getting behind a good cause. I know, there are many good causes out there that don’t get as much attention. However, every disease out there deserves their moment of viral attention and I’m just glad that so many people are making sure to donate as well as get icy cold. That’s why Charlie Sheen’s video is my favorite.

By the way, do you guys even know why they chose an ice bucket as the challenge? It’s meant to simulate the loss of muscle control that those afflicted feel with the disease. See, it’s not just an excuse to get people to take part in wet t-shirt competitions.
