Devil May Cry 4 arrives (again) on June 18 on console and PC

DMC 4 (1)

Devil May Cry 4. The best Devil May Cry. In the world, of all time and undisputed heavyweight champion of the franchise. It’s the Starship Troopers of Devil May Cry games and yes I am unbelievably biased when it comes to the game as I give objective reporting a Stone Cold Stunner and then defenestrate that neutral position. With DmC: Devil May Cry out in the world, it’s time for the fourth core game to get a chance in the spotlight. And that remaster will arrive June 18.

That’s according to a NeoGAF translation of a Japanese gaming mag, which revealed the launch date for the game, as well as the fact that Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition would be getting a PC port as well on June 24. You know, just in case you don’t feel like spending cash on the cheaper port of the original game. Besides Vergil, Trish and Lady will also be playable in the game, with special pre-order costumes, because of course. Here’s some new images then:

DMC 4 (3)

Looks like I was right about Vergil then. The only downside to this release date however, is that it’ll most likely bite into some serious Arkham Knight time for me. Guys, the struggle is real. So, so real.

Update: Capcom just unleashed a ton of new screenshots, as well as a trailer. Enjoy!

  1. Oh. 🙁 Here I thought they were replacing what’s-his-face-with-the-wrong-hair with Trish & I’d really see the fanboys losing their marbles even worse than last time. No Stratus-faction for me.

I know right? I mean, what looks like a bazooka with a bayonet? That’s just silly.

Yet it came in very handy during the game for her and for Dante.

But a remaster on PC is unnecessary…

The current version looks fine and runs like butter, hell I get over 60FPS on max settings on my poor aging rig…

Seeing how the internet is reacting to this news its clear DMC4: SE will be a larger success than DmC: We’re Sorry Edition. Granted seeing as the DmC remake only sold 5000 units in the UK; it wont be so hard to overtake.

If this is true, I can honestly see myself buying a PS4 just for this game.
