Don Bradman Cricket 14–Official Trailer

SAFE

So after the absolutely disgusting debacle that was Ashes Cricket 2013 it looks like us cricket fans are going to be saved by the great Australian cricketer, Don Bradman.

Don Bradman Cricket 14 has just released their official trailer and while trailers can hide numerous ills it does at least look to be a huge improvement on Ashes Cricket 2013.

Mind you most of what went down the toilet this morning was a massive improvement on that Ashes mess.

There has been no release date announced yet for Don Bradman 14 and with their only competitor pulled from the shelves and all eyes on their product I don’t expect them to rush anything. The market is there for the taking and they’d be insane to mess this one up.

My only gripe… why Don Bradman of all people? How about Jacque Kallis, Sachin Tendulkar or even Graeme Gooch?

If you haven’t already then head on over here and read up about all the feature’s that will be included in Don Bradman 14.

LOL @ ‘better than that other crap’ tag.
On a serious note, we REALLLLLLY need a good cricket game. It has been ages.

One with player XP, nice co-op options, simulated fatigue, simulated ball physics, real atmospheric simulation – Some real in depth stuff!

hehe, you really don’t like sport games? I haven’t really played a cricket game since Brian Lara on the PS2 or 1, not sure, and before that Jonty Rhodes/Alan Border cricket. But thos games were great fun with friends!

That wasn’t a bad cricket game actually. Although I’m sure it didn’t age very well.

Yeah, it looks like ass these days (lol), but I’m yet to find a cricket game that can beat it gameplay-wise.

I think I might still have Alan Border Cricket tucked away somewhere on a non-round & shiny disk.

Ashes cricket 2009 was by far the best one I suppose! DBC14 just taking it to the other dimention…. better!!! 🙂

The bowler physics are off, only the spin bowlers are actually looking where they are bowling. All the speedsters are making sure the front foot is behind the line. But it does look as if there might be something here.

As for Don Bradman, probably because he holds the highest average in test cricket and is regarded as the best player ever. (Although there will be a debate around this.)

Nah, just about every fast bowler’s head drops upon delivery. My problem is all the quickies in this trailer have the same bowling action.

This game with something like the Frostbite 2 or Crytek engine would be amazing.

Am I the only one to notice the right palm of the bolwler (pause at 10 sec) a little deformed!! seems like he is wearing some palm-cover (not a gloves though) 😛 .
GREAT!! AMAZING WORK DONE!!! Beautiful game we’ll be having.
For the next versions, well, we should see some CROWD movements, BETTER CHARACTER Models and quite a LOT of SPECIAL EFFECTS on pitches, ropes and on the field; as the players interacting with all that.

Ashes 2013 was awesome, I don’t know what all the fuss is about…. getting all out for 7 runs is realistic enough.
