Duke Nukem Movie to Follow Max Payne

It was just the other day that I was saying how good the Max Payne movie was looking. Now the producer of the Max Payne movie, Scott Faye, has said that he is working on a Duke Nukem movie with Scott Miller, CEO of 3D Realms.

I guess if anybody was going to make it, Scott Faye would be the best guy. He seems to have the correct outlook at making game adaptations saying, "As is the case with all of my game adaptations, I’d rather not make the movie than make a poor adaptation."

Faye did promise to stay faithful to the series: "We’re expanding Duke’s ‘storyverse’ in a very significant major way without abandoning or negating any element that’s being used to introduce Duke to the next gen platforms."

He also explained why the Max Payne movie had the devil and demons in it, "If I’m going to play a videogame based on a feature film, the last thing I want to do is play through the film narrative."

I’m going to remain skeptical about this movie until I’ve actually seen Max Payne and know what to expect but it could be a good precursor so raise interest before the release of Duke Nukem Forever.
