Duken Nukem Forever – Trailer

40 second read

Yes believe it or not they are still planning on releasing this vapour ware..

Now I have a secret to admit, I was never a great fan of the original Duke Nukem, I was always more a Quake boy, so I was watching this trailer with a predisposed dislike for the game.

Well so far the trailer has not changed my mind, it just does nothing for me… 10 years in the making and it looks like it should have been released on the PS2.

Oh well I will be glad when this game finally gets released so it can no longer be the ridicule of the gaming nation and you never know, it may still be brilliant.

Hey hey, be nice now! The Duke rocked! 10 years ago :p

The teaser particularly underwhelming expecially when he speaks. Bruce Campbell is the Duke, no one else will suffice.

Quake was for pansy, DN3D was the business, who needed bad 3D when you had strippers!

Since Lazy owns this site and he evidently believes in freely expressing views but still inflicts a censor for he does not want to alienate his readership, I’ll say that which is on his mind on his behalf: “That teaser was a steaming piece of shit! Teaser’s are supposed to make you want more…that teaser made me want to kick Groussard’s face in for wasting the time of everybody and their mother.” I laughed my way through that bull it was so bad!

The only time Duke Dukem rocked, was when it was a side-scroller platform game. Duke Nukem 3D was the most horribly game ever. Quake was just way better at the time (revolutionary, to be exact)

And @doobiwan: Strippers? You mean badly pixelated sprites with nipple swingers… I mean, I’m all for pixelated porn, but those sprites looked like slimy blobs from the netherrealm 😉

Hey it was the 90’s, back then people had imaginations 😉

Undoubtedly Quake was technically superior, DN3D was still pseudo 3D ala doom, but it made up for it with way better weapons and just oozing style. Shrink, Freeze and devastator, what more could you want?

If this trainer is n indication of what they plan on delivering, they’d be better served keeping it a myth.

Quake was definitely a better game, but Duke was just more fun.

The trailer was weird. The aliens looked cool, but Duke looks…wrong.

Shoot me… I liked the teaser.

Duke is about fun and schoolboy toilet humor, as long as it stays silly, it will be fun.
