There are two X-com games coming in the near future. There’s the delayed, strategic first-person shooter from 2K Marin; the one that’s drawn ire from gamers because of the unnecessary genre shift.

Then there’s the one fans are waiting for; an isometric, turn-based strategy game from Firaxis that takes the series back to its roots.

Firaxis has released a trailer for X-Com: Enemy Unknown – showing the alien scourge we’ll be faced with. Doesn’t seem to contain any gameplay though. It’s coming to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in October.
