E3 2016 – Bioware shows off Mass Effect Andromeda pushing boundaries

Mass effect E3

How far will we go? Mass Effect Andromeda tackles this in many ways – from the story to the galaxy to the development, Mass Effect Andromeda will offer players more freedom than ever before. Totally powered by Frostbite, Mass Effect Andromeda is linked to our ability to push limits.

Andromeda is meant to built a new home for humanity. Filled with alien life and civilizations (including new races shown in this making of trailer), prepare to lose yourself in a whole new galaxy. I am particularly excited by the ending – the marketing material seems to be promoting a female lead character. Sure, according to Geoff, Shepard was always a woman, but I love seeing this in the initial reveal of our playable character.

Sounds like the game is coming this fall, or at least more of a look at it. I can’t wait.

The best part about this trailer (IMO) is that there is no big bad to kill and no galaxy to save. I’m sure that that will come and it’ll be awesome, but man, if they can get this right, I’m gonna freak out, to be a captain of a space ship wandering the galaxy……Dreams answered!

My predicted timeline for this game:

Before/During the events of Mass Effect 3, a council/alliance/private team put together a continuation of civilization effort that involved sending explorers into Andromeda to escape the Reaper threat.

Im more inclined to believe its a post ME3 era thing with focus on re-establishing the galaxy without the Mass Relays for FTL travel

although this being a new galaxy throws a few spanners into the works of that theory.

      My Dream Game:

No man’s sky sized galaxy, which then has a Bioware story written on top of it covering a couple of human edited planets.
